MY STAY AT COVENANT UNIVERSITY SO FAR

My name is Oyerinde Olaoluwade Oladunjoye, 2401317. My experience at Covenant University has been good so far but also very stressful.

On the 14th day of October 2024, I resumed officially as a fresher at Covenant University. When I came, I had to submit my resumption clearance to the biometrics department of the school for proper capturing of my data then it was returned to me after I got my fingerprint captured. After that, my luggage was searched and I took it in. I was shocked by the number of fights and pushing that broke out while taking my things into my hall of residence (i.e. Esther Hall) because this is the prestigious Covenant University and things like this don’t happen there. Thankfully it was resolved by our able Director of Student Affairs (DSA), Mrs. Shola Coker.

The next day, our week-long freshers’ orientation began. There were many educational, spiritual sessions, and survival guides. Even with all the stress of the orientation, we had to complete our medicals, which entailed us running around from one medical department to another, which added another extra layer of stress on us.

After a week-long orientation, classes officially began. I had to trek a lot from my hostel to chapel, from chapel to lecture theatre, from the lecture theatre to my college building and then back to my hostel. Obviously, I will eat food so I had to get food.

This routine has been going on for two weeks and I am grateful to God for helping me so far since coming to Covenant University.
